  This would be a big plus for docman and well worth paying for.

  I would have paid for it if it did index the contents of uploaded pdf, doc etc..

  Yes, having the ability to search document contents is a must. Searching just by name/description is forcing users to add tags in the description field to make documents searchable.

  Example: I let users post their resumes for others to see but they can't be searched. Only the titles and descriptions can be searched. This is a big shortcoming.

  Until you do, drop the claim that DOCMan includes a search capability integrated into Joomla. When you do, I would be willing to pay a reasonable sum to add it.
